I rarely post a 5 star review, they really need 10 star metrics here. We stopped here on our way home from #Glastonbury2025 as I required a pint to attempt to feel normal. Owners Luke and Mo were great, made us feel welcome, Luke made the best Pimms, the food, whilst charging the same price as our local in South Wimbledon (appreciate that it's a hotel as well), was delicious. Fish was bang on what I had wanted, scallops excellent and the best black pudding bites I've had. That tartare sauce - I hope you guys commercialise that - best stuff I've had in the UK from memory, maybe anywhere else as well. Excellent level pub food. The Bloody Mary has horseradish infused vodka. If you need a pep up, this is it. We ended up staykng the night in a well appointed room named in theme, the Mustang Room. See you in 2027 perhaps, thanks guys. Recommended.

In my view the best Sunday Roast in the area. The food is excellent. This Pub has recently changed hands and I am pleased to say the quality of the food is as good if not better! The previous owners had high standards and it’s great to see that the new owners continue this ethos. Certainly the Beef I had to today was some of the most tender in any restaurant and that usually means top quality meat. Food is served on clean plates with clean cutlery and that’s a big plus for me! Guineas is on tap, it’s the right taste and it’s nice and cool. Staff are welcoming , helpful and accommodating. Best book in advance as this Pub is very popular on Sunday Lunch days.

We went for a Sunday lunch today and honestly it was very underwhelming. There was a very long wait for the food, we were told there was a back log which is fine. However it did drag on and we were not given a rough estimate of the wait even upon asking. The roast was £20 approximately, we had the beef. The beef was very tender and really was lovely, however there appeared to be a vegetable famine for the rest of the plate. Two tiny carrots, some burnt parsnips and a couple of leaves of kale and a lot of empty plate to boot. All the other sides and the one other meal on the menu, a burger, was massively overly overpriced at £18. We saw others ordering it and it was nothing special. It is a pleasant pub other than this and has a nice garden. We would go again but only for a drink I would rather save my money and go elsewhere in the area. The Bourne Valley Inn is leaps and bounds ahead to be honest.
