The White Swan

We enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and fun to deal with. Our room was lovely, clean and had a big comfortable bed. There were many different areas inside and outside, where we were able to sit and have a quiet drink. The gardens are beautifully kept and looked stunning in the summer sunshine. It was very nice to be able to walk into Arundel through a lovely woodland footpath. Breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here again.

We're fairly local and so decided to try a breakfast here. We were not disappointed. The English breakfast tasted so good and very fresh. I did enquire as to why it tasted so good and they told me all produce is locally sourced. We could really tell. Will definitely be returning.

The White Swan was an old rundown inn, far too expensive for what it was. The staff does the bare minimum to accommodate you. The room was spacious, yet very old, especially the bathroom with yellow stains on the bottom of the bathtub. If that was not enough it was very hot in the room, making it nearly impossible to sleep. We made a tour through England and have spent every night in a different hotel, inn or B&B, this one was one of the least nice ones. We also understood the moment the staff does not escort you to your room, you can be sure the experience is not going to be quite as nice as hoped. All in all for half the price it wouldn’t have been a bother but for something over £100 it did sting a little. But it is located just 5 min away to Arundel Castle which maybe what most people are after
