I'll come here again. Recommended. Plus points: Good car park. Easy location to town and beach. Clean. Top service. Quiet. Excellent breakfast. Zero complaints. Down sides: None really. I guess that some people might moan that the room I was in was a little dated because they expect a £500 a night spa hotel experience for pennies but for me it was clean, bright, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. I was out all day and most of the evening anyway so only slept and showered in it. The owners make it easy by explaining with clarity about parking rules and suchlike. They sorted my ferry booking out too. I really like this place.
Brilliant place! Very clean, wonderful customer service from start to finish. Lovely staff, great breakfasts! Large menu and lovely food. Staff are helpful, kind and patient. Bedrooms are lovely! No issues. Swimming pool and facilties were clean and no issues. Location was fantastic! Prices were great and car park was secure. Definitely returning next year!
My stay at The Wight Hotel was beyond terrible it was like stepping into a time warp of neglect and cheapness, laughably cramped box meant for two adults and a child, but barely fit one person without tripping over their own luggage. The "furniture" looked like it was rescued from a Facebook Marketplace freebie section, probably older than the 19 years of experience the owner was bragging about The TV was a joke from the 90s with a screen the size of an iPhone, complete with terrible reception. Who even still uses these? The owner made it painfully clear that if you dare book through a third-party site, you're treated like a second-class guest. She actually had the nerve to brag about giving better deals to direct bookers, then why list your dump on booking sites in the first place? A complete ripoff extras with no Basics despite paying well over £315 for just 2 nights Sauna?Pay extra or you are limited two-hour slot because heaven forbid guests actually relax. Pool towels? That'll cost you extra too. Fresh towels for your second night? Nope you have to awkwardly beg for Want to read while your partner is asleep? Forgot it the bedside lamps don't work.. Microwave to heat baby food? Forget it the 19 years in business still can't provide basic necessities. and you get told straight NO with no explanation or sympathy for your little one that might stay hungry in the middle of nowhere The first night sounded like a herd of elephants or goats stampeding above us all night (literally) When I complained, the staff shrugged, and the owner lectured me about booking direct booking instead of fixing the problem. This place is a cheap, poorly run, money-grabbing disaster nothing else. Avoid at all costs.
