The Willows Wanaka

Absolutely loved our stay here! We booked through Booking.com and were instantly impressed the moment we stepped inside- the whole family was thrilled with the accommodation. The unit is tastefully decorated, almost like stepping into a modern IKEA showroom, with stylish furniture, cozy corner mood lighting, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The kitchen is spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring a sleek dining bench with tall stools. It’s fully stocked with everything you could need- plates, cups, cutlery, cooking oil, cleaning supplies, an oven, dishwasher, coffee, tea, salt and pepper, and more. Super convenient for families or longer stays. The bathroom was equally impressive, with double sinks, a separate space for the toilet, and a clean, spacious shower. Toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) are provided, along with a handy roll-out trolley for extra storage, a hairdryer, hand and bath towels and heating with air ventilation. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable- one with a queen bed, the other with two singles. Thoughtful touches like desk, lamps, convenient location of power points, luggage stands in both rooms, a coat rack at the entrance, and a shoe rack help keep the space tidy and uncluttered- ideal for a group of four. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the smart TV in the living area was easy to use and offered local channels as well as access to Netflix. The unit is very well insulated and nice and warm at night that we didn’t need to turn on any heaters. The location was perfect. We were too tired to go far for dinner and were happy to discover Pizza Pizza just a 15-minute walk away. A quick phone order and an easy pickup made for a great evening. Willow Wanaka Apartments are impressively well-run and meticulously maintained. The unit was spotless (absolutely squeaky clean) and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the place in top condition. A thoughtfully prepared Guest Handbook covers everything you need to know, from rubbish disposal to laundry use, and the kitchen and laundry areas are clearly labelled for easy navigation. Every detail feels well thought out, making the stay smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend staying here- we’d definitely come back again!
