We ended up at this hotel by chance as another hotel we booked in the area was well below expectations so needed to find somewhere else for that night. This hotel is is very unique in terms of location and appearance from the outside, and whilst I was sceptical the hotel was nothing short of amazing! The staff are incredibly helpful, the view from the rooms is out of this world. Whilst the rooms may be on the older side you wouldn’t know as they have been maintained extremely well. The breakfast at the French restaurant was exceptional best we had on our trip. Pizza at the Italian restaurant also well surpassed our expectations. Highly recommend this unique hotel.
This is the most amazing hotel i have ever visited. The foyer alone is a major attraction but the view from the junior suite, across Lake toya and Mt Yotei is just the most spectacular view i have ever experienced. This hotel is perched atop a mountain and is not easily accessible so I highly recommend a hire car. We saw dear on the road on the way back from town one night, and a resident fox walking the roads almost daily. The restaurants are Michelin quality so we ate most nights in town, but it's only a 15min drive and there are fireworks every night to watch while your there. Meals start at around 12000 yen pp at the hotel. The golf course is enjoyable though was in recovery stage from winter when we were there, but it's challenging and the views spectacular. Staff are absolutely amazing. Everything is silver service. Get your IHG membership and book through the app to get some pretty awesome extras when you get there.
Always think about someday would like to visit this place and here we were. We rode the train from Sapporo station to Toya station and the hotel bus was there waiting. The view , the room, the location are amazing. The hotel has a long history with many stories but it still looks like a new hotel. Breakfast has 2 choices that you could pick. We picked buffet which was great. It wasn’t cheap to stay but it was amazing memories for us!!!
