The Yew Tree

Perfect local tiny hotel in the middle of nowhere. Nice pub for some drinks and food from the bbq. Perfect to stay before a flight next morning (15 min drive to airport!)

Lovely place. Stayed overnight. Staff were friendly and attentive. Tried refilling my beer often 😂. The room was great; a big comfy bed, nice and clean. Roll-top freestanding bath in a marble style bathroom was a great touch and made the place feel luxurious. Small details could have been a little better; lights in the room need switching to dimmer bulbs as they flicker, some hand soap would have been nice too (there was free shampoo and shower gel tubes though). Complimentary coffee is the obligatory awful nescafe. Overall had a great night, lovely location, great staff, great room, great food too.

Host was great and very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are like an American motel outside the historic pub which are lovely but a miss mash of furniture/dated but functional. The room paint has been done in a rush and not done well but overall we had a very pleasant stay with a big double ended bath 😁 Two robes and slippers provided. The nice weather brought a lot of noise from the pub terrace but they shut it at 10 so is great for the staying guests. Beautiful surroundings and walks. Would stay again.
