Thea Luxury Resort

great place for families, close to the city - 5 minutes by foot - but without the hustle. lot of parking, quiet, clean and the most friendliest and helpful stuff. also, it is actually look like you see in the pictures...

Thea resort is an interesting place. There are aspects that give it a wonderful feel and there are elements that feel underwhelming. The staff were fabulous and accommodating, they were eager to assist make your stay wonderful. The rooms were well laid out and had good amenities. Visually they were modern and clean. The main bathroom was easy access and designed, the upstairs bathroom was not so great, to close the door you had to step in to the shower. Leaving the door open meant anyone coming up the stairs you virtually met face to face. The larger pool area was rustic, the gardens and pool surroundings were lacking maintenance. Location based on serenity was wonderful, an oasis to enjoy, but on access it was difficult to get to and from the centre. Outside of the resort, rubbish filled roads and pathways, a 15 minute hike to the main road. High traffic and lack of places to walk made the journey a little unsafe Another 10 minutes you arrived at Fira. The resort overall was a good experience and depending on your needs, it could be a wonderful experience or average. I can recommend it as an alternative and less expensive option, based on the rooms and the pools. Good experience worth considering. Like and follow for more reviews.

"Luxury" is a loose term. We stayed in the villa. It was furnished comfortably, but the A/C was not working. Temperature wise it wasn't too bad. It was around 72 degrees indoors. The issue is that it was extremely humid, so it made it feel hotter and stickier, and it was not comfortable to sleep in at night. Either they need to fix the A/C or provide a dehumidifier to help. It could use a little updating. My pillowcase was torn. They have a shuttle you can pay for to get between the airport or the ferry port. The only downside was that our flight arrived at 7 a.m., and they wouldn't pick us up until 8:15 a.m. The hotel itself is about half a mile from the Fira bus station, but it's an uphill walk. If you're not comfortable with the walk, I recommend staying somewhere closer to the city.
