Theatron Jerusalem Hotel & Spa MGallery Collection

We stayed for a week. The hotel is impeccable, the location is terrific. Right across from the Jerusalem Symphony Theater and a ten minute walk to Emek Refaim and all the cafes and stores. Easy access for taxis. Front desk - a big shout out to Hrayr, he is one of the best in concierge, speaking multiple languages and incredible service. Rooms are very small, yet remarkably clean and comfortable, beds are delicious, towels beautiful, water and fridge in every room. As a boutique hotel, there is no room service, yet if you ask reception they accommodate to their best ability. That said, the breakfasts (and ordered luncheons on Shabbat) are not the best. The Maitre’D and staff are hawkish in getting you any kind of coffee or juice for you at your table, the bread is excellent, fish and salads fresh in abundance, yet pastries are under par and not replenished, fruits are hit or miss- mostly grapefruit and star fruit, and not replenished, and the Shabbat cholent was very undercooked and the beans hard. People familiar with Jerusalem breakfasts which, often a highlight of the trip, might be taken aback by the spread. It IS a boutique hotel, so there is no business office. Yet it stands out in offering a beautiful gym, indoor pool and excellent spa. Shabbat is easily accommodated for keys, stairs, food, etc. Many synagogues to choose from and parking on premises.

As a loyal member of the Accor loyalty program, I was genuinely excited to see a premium hotel in Jerusalem and was looking forward to staying here with my family. Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel has been deeply disappointing — and this is even before my arrival. I had some important questions regarding our upcoming stay (we are 3 adults and 2 young children), and I reached out several times via the official email address listed in the Accor app. Despite multiple polite messages over several days, I received no response at all. I then tried calling the hotel directly. Sometimes my calls were ignored, sometimes I was told it was a “bad time,” and in other cases the line simply disconnected. No one has made any effort to follow up or assist. This complete lack of responsiveness and hospitality is extremely frustrating. If communication is this poor before check-in, I can only imagine how things would be during the stay. I strongly do not recommend this hotel and suggest looking for a more welcoming and professional alternative in Jerusalem.
