We had an amazing stay at Themis Hotel in Crete with The KING 😍 From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome especially Manos at the bar, who went above and beyond every single day. His kindness, helpful tips, and incredible hospitality made such a difference that we actually extended our stay by a whole week! 🥰 The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the service was top-notch, and the rooms were spotless everything was just perfect. Thank you to the entire team, and a special thank you to Manos for making our holiday unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!
Overall, we had a good experience. The hotel is nice, with a clean sandy beach and a gentle, child-friendly entry into the sea — a big plus for families. The water is crystal clear, and you can see little fish swimming around your feet, which is lovely. The food is okay, but quite repetitive for an all-inclusive. Both fish and meat were often overcooked and dry. No shrimp, and mussels were served only once. Alcohol seemed a bit watered down. You won’t go hungry, but don’t expect a gourmet experience. Rooms are a bit dated but cleaned daily and kept tidy. The hotel grounds are green and well maintained. We stayed with our 1.5-year-old and managed to find suitable food for her, although there’s no special kids’ menu or baby jars. It’s not very stroller-friendly — access to the beach is tricky, and there’s no promenade or proper walking paths nearby. There’s not much to do outside the hotel; the nearest city is Heraklion, which is hard to reach with a small child. Renting a car really helped us. The staff were very friendly and did their best to make us feel welcome. Most guests were German, French, and Polish. We saw very few Ukrainians, no Russians, and one couple from Kazakhstan. In summary: don’t expect like a “Turkish-style” all-inclusive, but if you have older kids and a rental car, it’s a nice spot for a quiet vacation. We’d give it 4 out of 5 for the lovely beach, cleanliness, and warm, helpful staff.
Not our best stay. At all. The first couple of days, at night, there was zero to no air conditioning, meaning you physically couldn't sleep, i mean it would have been easier to sleep on your balcony instead of your room. The following days, we first tried getting some alcoholic beverages, the waiter came up to our table requesting money. Totally understandable (but they could have put up a sign) the next evening, we tried getting some juice and the lady can up to us again (about 10 seconds later) requesting money for the juice that tasted like sparkilng tap water. On our last day of our stay, they did (FINALLY) put up a sign with what is included in what you pay. Overall the hotel was preatty clean and overall well mentained just try not to book a room on a high level because 9 times out of 10 at least one of the elevators is out of order.
