Thien Thai Hotel

Title: Great Stay for Short Trips & Excellent Hospitality I had a good stay at this hotel!. A special thanks to Bong, who was incredibly helpful throughout my trip. He arranged everything seamlessly, including the package, the comfortable bus from Hanoi, and the bus to Phong Nha. Despite arriving at 3 AM, I was warmly welcomed, which made me feel at home right away. The hotel is a great choice for short trips, offering budget-friendly rates compared to others and easy access to transportation. The room was decent, mainly suitable for staying overnight rather than for relaxation. Overall, a good and convenient stay, especially for travelers on a budget!

Room: really dated, beds were uncomfortable, fridge wasn’t cold, tv was budget, shower flooded the bathroom Service: staff were nice Location: it’s about a 15 min walk to the old quarter so it’s not too bad. Breakfast: the buffet was terrible, not much of a selection and some food was stale/dry Laundry: DONT get washing done here, it’s very expensive! For half a basket of clothes we paid USD$30, this is more expensive than what you’d pay anywhere in the US or around the world! We found out that you could go down the road and it would have cost USD$4 max. Overall: really disappointed, wouldn’t consider this 4 star at all. Stay away from this hotel! Only redeeming thing was the rooftop bar! Thien Thai Hotel, if you’re reading this you should be embarrassed about ripping off tourists and the poor state of your hotel as a “4 star” If I could give 0 stars I would!

This is the worst experience we had. The first night I was there, I heard rats in the bathroom. Woke up to find dead cockroaches. We were a team of 22 people. Every single one of us had miserable experiences. The air conditioning doesn't cool the place. Their website states they have meeting rooms (we were a global team meeting together), and they lied to us, after payingthe full amount. They had no meeting rooms. The only pleasant staff is the guy who serves eggs at breakfast. It is centrally located. Do not exchange your money there. They'll cheat you. This experience left us with a very poor impression of the Vietnamese people, which is very unfortunate.
