I had a wonderful experience at the Thompson Austin! The location is incredibly convenient—right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to explore the city on foot. One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop pool and bar. The views of the city skyline were stunning, and it was the perfect place to relax. The service was excellent from start to finish. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was modern, stylish, and welcoming. I highly recommend the Thompson Austin for anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable stay with top-notch service in a prime location.
I had a great stay at the Thompson in Austin. It’s in a central, walkable area. The food and beverage options are plentiful. Room is nicely appointed and the space is very well thought out with comfortable beds and working space. And the service was phenomenal. I would stay at this Thompson anytime I’m in Austin, and this property is a great representation of the brand.
Rooms were nice, spacious, and modern! Location is great, close to restaurants, bars, and very central. I was here for a work trip and it was perfect. I appreciated the small touches like: having a steamer in the room and free drink at the bar “coin”. The gym was great, possibly the best hotel gym I’ve been to. There were plenty of machines and ample space to workout. Love how it was 24hours. Some downsides or just things that were off to me was the black toilets in the room (felt kinda like a club vibe and dirty). Since you’re by a main street it can get loud at night — so light sleepers beware. It was also odd how the hallways were barely lit at night, kinda eerie. Note there are 2 hotels inside this building. I’s recommend staying at this hotel if you’re Austin!
