Thompson Savannah by Hyatt

We loved our stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is ideal—it's just a short, pleasant walk to all the main attractions in historic Savannah, but far enough away that we weren't bothered by the downtown crowds. The hotel bar, Bar Julian, was a highlight where had a great breakfast every morning. As for the other restaurant, Fleeting, the service was excellent, but the food was just okay. The lounge/bar at the hotel's happy hour is fantastic. You can't beat the $5 espresso martinis and food was great. Overall, this is a worthwhile hotel that provides a perfect balance of convenience and a quiet atmosphere.

We were guests at this lovely hotel 8/3-8/6 (Sunday-Wednesday.) I booked a corner, river facing room, for my wife and I. The room is impeccably appointed from the furnishing, down to the little touches like bath robes in the restroom for guest use. The room came stocked with a variety of snacks and beverages (alcoholic and non) available for purchase. Obviously the views from the room were very nice and we found all the furniture to be very comfortable. There is on site dining that is also very reasonably priced and not your typical hotel food options. Also of note is the awesome pool available to guests with exceptional cabanas, lounge chairs, etc. I found that every person we encountered that worked here definitely understood the assignment as they were all so friendly and helpful. Not to be overlooked in all the great qualities of this hotel is the house car and driver made available to guests for short trips near the hotel. We took several trips in the car (a model Y Tesla) and each driver was better than the last. Charlie, Austin and especially Alan, were so courteous, prompt and professional. They didn’t just drive us to and from dinner and attractions, they recommended things to do and places to eat while getting us safely to and from our destinations. Never mind it was all free of charge. Of course we tipped our drivers and I even gladly purchased our driver an appetizer from the restaurant we dined at (he mentioned it was one of his favorite spots when we told him where we were going) and gave it to him when he picked us up as a thank you for his wonderful service. If you’re in Savannah, you’ll never be disappointed with your stay at the Thompson. We’ll definitely be back soon!

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Thompson Savannah this past weekend. What a treat! We have stayed at another Thompson property in Denver and were impressed. Savannah did not disappoint. The rooms are clean and well-kept; staff is kind and professional; customer service among staff and in the on-site restaurants is also excellent. We had one challenge with the valet on Friday night, but that charge was removed from our bill without us even having to ask. This will be our go-to hotel for future visits.
