Tifakara by the Waterfall

Place was amazing. We loved our rooms, the view, the nature and the hotel grounds. It’s just out of reach of busy La Fortuna but close to everything you need. Staff was amazing, they know you by name and do everything they can to help you out. Pool is great and we loved our breakfast each morning. Highly recommend. It’s small, not many guests so it almost feels like a private retreat. Anna, Lucy, Rey and Jay took great care of us. Don’t forget to do the night tour.

We had a wonderful honeymoon stay at this hotel. The staff Kevin were very friendly and thoughtful—when they found out we were celebrating our honeymoon, they decorated our room beautifully and surprised us with a bottle of champagne. The room was spotless, and we especially loved the outdoor shower—it felt so peaceful and connected to nature. The drinks at the bar were also amazing! Every detail was handled with care, and we felt so welcomed throughout our stay. Highly recommended, and we hope to come back one day!

This place far exceeded our expectations! You are actually in the rainforest and the rooms are extremely clean. The staff here is so personal and treats you like family. From Lucy checking us in to seeing Erick and Arlin for our meals, within a day, they were calling us by our first names. It was my birthday and I even received a hand written card with drawings. I could keep writing about how much I loved this place (oh and the breakfasts are amazing), but you just need to go there to experience it! It’s a great location off the beaten path and you truly feel immersed in the nature! Make the reservation!!!
