The hotel is perfect and in a great location. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to park the car and explore the local trails and small town by foot. The owners and their family were also wonderful.

Very nice place, i would call it luxurious. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was great. The pool is very nice. We had an excellent stay and I would recommend it for every family.

Nice location, modern building and breakfast staff always lovely. Unfortunately though, like other posts here we also experienced rude and unprofessional behaviour from the Manager. The night before checkout I asked if we could stay a little later than the required 10am and he advised no problem and then stated late-checkout that could accept up between 2-4pm. There was no discussion of an extra charge (my mistake - assuming he would react like other wellness & family hotels we have stayed at) But at checkout he charged an extra €70 and told us we should have known because it was written in their hotel manual. Which I might add is full of inaccuracies in other areas so don’t plan your activities based on the timings listed. There were constant renovations happening during our stay, which we didn’t complain about or ask to move rooms. Despite workmen performing metal work with a grinder outside our window until 8pm and beginning at 8am on a Saturday. It is advertised as a Spa and Wellness hotel - peace and quiet should be expected. And if not, at least some acknowledgement. The whirlpool was not functioning, the pool heating was not always on. The managers answers were, that there was a sign that the pool was not working, in his mind this was a satisfactory response. There was no comment or apology for the noise and regarding the late checkout he told me I should have read their manual for the charges. Whilst I fulfilled my contractual obligation, the hotel did not fulfill their contract with noise and parts of the wellness centre not working. Yet not a single acknowledgement. During our 10 minute discussion he then had the rudeness to say that we ‘seemed like nice people but that we were on the border’. When asked specifically what he was referring to his reply was simply ‘you go away and think about it and you will know’. At one point he highlighted he generously had not charged us for having a Therapy Dog with us. A simple, “sorry for the noise during your stay we wont charge you for 2-3 hours later checkout” would have maintained an otherwise pleasant stay, ensured our return and our recommendation to others. Instead, Mr Manager, due to your highly unprofessional behaviour and rude comments we will not be returning to your hotel, nor will we recommend you within our airline community in Germany of over 10000 employees.
