A Hidden Gem in Porto Hotel Timbres Virtudes was the perfect choice for our stay in Porto. Tucked away on a quiet street, it feels like a serene escape from the city—but it’s just steps away from the Douro River and an easy ( yet uphill ) walk to the heart of the city center. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed—modern, elegant, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Every detail felt carefully considered. We loved starting our mornings with a full European buffet complete with eggs to order. Exploring Porto’s vibrant food and wine scene - all easily accessible as well. If you’re looking for a place that blends quiet charm with walkable convenience and high-end touches, Hotel Timbres Virtudes is it. Highly recommend.

This was a beautiful stay in Porto! The room was magnificent with a gorgeous balcony, great food and wonderful people. If you want to avoid the noise of the tourists, this is perfect! The checkin is a bit difficult but they do their best to make it easy. I highly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway! The walk up into town is beautiful but fairly vertical. Bring your walking shoes!

Exceptional experience. I stayed for 2 nights and plan to return. From the moment I arrived (early) to my departure, the staff were extremely helpful and efficient. My room was available earlier than expected. The roof top cafe / terrace provided a wonderful view. I enjoyed an outstanding dinner and the breakfast buffet and menu were superb. The room was spacious and I appreciated the turn down service. A wonderful experience.
