If I compare it with all the hotels I’ve visited in the same category , I have to give a clear five stars. It’s not some quickly build junk—rooms are solid and quiet; you can’t hear anyone from the neighboring rooms. (Or i was lucky)The doors close silently, so no one disturbs you when they leave their room. So if you prefer peace and want undisturbed sleep, this is the ideal hotel. Everything in the room is functional and clean. The breakfasts are among the richest I’ve ever experienced. The staff is also nice. Thumbs up. Okay, as a downside I’d probably mention the casino and similar stuff, but for me the main thing is to sleep well and have a good breakfast—and this hotel delivers five stars in that regard.

The Maslow at Time Square is where comfort meets class. It’s a super modern hotel in the heart of Menlyn, but what truly sets it apart is how it makes you feel. The staff are warm, attentive, and always go the extra mile. Rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering great views. You’ve got all the essentials; good bedding, a fridge, and a Nespresso machine. It’s a full-service hotel that just gets it right every time.

This is the third time in the last two years we stayed here. Booking from abroad is absolutely tedious! We always have a problem at check-in and this time was no different. The last thing you need after two flights and 27hrs of travel is drama on checking in. We had to get a manager to hear our request from our booking was not met and only then could matters be sorted and could we be satisfied with our check in. We got our inter-leading room. However we were very dissatisfied with the awful smell of cigarette smoke lingering in everything from the curtains to the towels. This is unacceptable for a non-smoking room as it clearly had a non-smoking sign on the door. The bathroom was not as clean as one will expect from a Sun International hotel. I saw some hair in the shower and a tiny baby roach on the floor. The Inter-leading twin room for the kids did not smell like cigarettes and was in a much cleaner state. We paid for breakfast but didn’t go. The shuttle service to Menlyn was not available as per concierge due to a breakdown. Not very good as that is the reason we stay here. Hopefully we see improvement but sadly our experience with Sun International properties in 2024 is making us reconsider our hotel choice when traveling to South Africa
