Just arrived for a short stay. Its really our second visit in 10 years. The lodge is really amazing . Top class. In addition we found that the restaurant was now run independently from the hotel . Food is magnificent for the people visiting the restaurant , however , the residents get the same menu every day and I suggest that there should be alternate menus for residents . It can get boring . Breakfasts are good . Not enough variety. Same old yoghurt, croissant, muesli , tiny fruit platter . No , for this price residents deserve better. Accommodation and location is stunning . Staff are wonderful

Our stay at Tintswalo Atlantic was the perfect retreat after a busy week exploring Cape Town. Tucked away in a secluded corner of Hout Bay, the lodge feels like a hidden sanctuary — peaceful, intimate, and surrounded by jaw-dropping natural beauty. The room itself was stunning, but it was the view that truly stole the show — waking up to the sound of the waves and looking out over the ocean each morning felt like a dream. The setting offers a true sense of escape, which was exactly what we were looking for. The food was another highlight. We dined at Chefs Warehouse both nights and were very impressed by the overall quality and creativity of the meals. One small note for vegetarians: while the team was very accommodating, many of the dishes leaned heavily on mushrooms — something to be aware of if that’s not your preference. The daily sundowners with canapés and cocktails were a lovely ritual — the drinks were fresh and inventive, and it was such a relaxing way to take in the surroundings. While we spent much of our time lounging or on excursions, Tintswalo was always a welcome place to return to. It’s not just a place to stay — it’s a place to pause, breathe, and take in the magic of the coast. Two nights felt like just the right amount of time to soak it in, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
