We stayed at Tiny Away Escape @ Lazarus Island and it turned out to be a really good choice for our family. We boarded the ferry from Marina South Pier and it was a quick and easy ride to the island. The tiny house was cosy, neat, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The space worked well for the three of us. They have a generous pack of complimentary treats as well. It’s quiet, safe, and only a few minutes’ walk to the beach which is great for swimming and playing without crowds. If you’re coming from the Philippines and visiting Singapore, this is something different from the usual hotel stay or city tour. Good for families or couples who want a short and peaceful break.
My stay at the tiny house on Lazarus Island was nothing short of delightful. The cozy space was thoughtfully designed, making the most of every corner while still feeling spacious and comfortable. Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, offering tranquility and a chance to unwind. The proximity to the beach made it easy to enjoy the stunning views and peaceful walks. I would highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking to recharge in a serene setting. What I loved most was enjoying a great evening cooking dinner on the smokeless BBQ grill at the table outside our tiny house. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere made it a perfect experience. The only downside was the sofa bed—it was hard in the middle and soft on both sides, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The queen bed was comfortable with clean linens, extra pillows. Snacks like Lays chips and biscuits were provided. Some cup noodles and Nespresso capsules. If you didn’t bring enough food, you can find a variety of marinated meats for BBQ at the convenience stall (opens Friday to Sunday) along with beers and even prepackaged cocktails.
Stayed for 2 nights in 2 different homes. Though expensive but it's ok for experience's sake. Was abit disappointed when last min was told the convenience store has ceased operation. So brought sufficient foods and drinks during the stay. Or can pre-order frozen meal with them. The homes were so near to lazarus terminal. It will be quite far if from St John Island terminal. The home is small but cozy enough for 2 pax or 3 might be abit cramp. It's already showing signs of wear and tear. Should really improve on housekeeping/cleanliness. 2nd home smells of urine when we checked in. Fridge wasn't clean properly too. Should top up on dishwashing liquid and shower gel. The blanket in the drawer has stains and doesn't feel clean and so is the cushion cover. and no mineral water provided, just coconut packet drinks. Instead of all sugar for the coffee, should have some creamers as well. Would be good if there's shelter on the seating area outside. The toaster wasn't necessary, i think. But overall, it's not bad, with tv and we can enjoy Netflix indoor when it rains. When it's time for checkout; the staff will knock on your door at 1130am sharp. So cannot be late for few minutes also unlike when staying in a hotel...haha For the price I paid, was expecting it to be abit better. But overall had a nice short staycay as the island itself was peaceful with nice surroundings and beach which wasn't chaotic with people around.
