The hotel’s location is initially good and very beautiful, situated in a nice area on a lively street. Additionally, the staff in all departments have extensive experience in tourism, hospitality, and guest services, showing great respect and care for visitors. As for the cleanliness and size of the rooms, they are very acceptable and generally wonderful. The food quality is also good, but it would benefit from slight daily variations to prevent monotony during long stays. Finally, the prices are relatively high but somewhat acceptable. Overall, the hotel is good and excellent.
I liked everything. I booked a room online on the hotel website. The price was lower than other online hotel booking service providers. At check-in we were given a better room than we had booked, with a good sea view. The hotel and rooms are very clean, the bedding and bathroom accessories are soft and clean. The breakfast is excellent, the choice is great. The location of the hotel is very good, near everything, shopping and entertainment complexes, restaurants, cafes, bars. Especially liked the attitude of the hotel staff, met with a smile, answered all questions with respect. I would like to mention Mrs. Melek Ozer (Guest relations representative). Her sincere attitude to us left very warm impressions. My wife was after surgery and she was not allowed to eat normal food. Mrs. Melek Ozer ordered the hotel restaurant to prepare a separate dietary dish for my wife. Great thanks, we will definitely come back again at the earliest opportunity.
Decent but not great. Staff are generally friendly but when it comes to free room upgrades, I had a disappointing experience. I am a VIP Gold member of Expedia and am entitled to a one-category upgrade and some other perks. The system prompts the hotel of this status so they can make the guest feel valued and special. I was provided an early check-in which was nice but the room they provided was dismal. It was the West facing unit. The view is blocked by two old apartments. East and South facing units have the best views. North is clear with no sea view. I asked to change the room to East or South facing unit and Mert the manager accommodated. Walls are thin and you can hear all the noise from the next room and from outside. Room was not very clean, I found that the indoor slippers were collecting long women’s hair from the carpet. I would recommend the hotel to do a better job with carpet vacuum or use a lint roller. The gym is very nice lots of equipment Turkish Bath is also very nice. Breakfast was also impressive. Lots of selections and good hospitality. No Nespresso machines in the rooms. I think Turkey is behind on this trend. Stick instant coffee is provided which I wasn’t very happy with for a 5-star hotel. For this price, I would stay in Taksim area, Barcelo hotel as their location is much better and the rooms are much nicer and larger and no noise issues. Update March 2025: The hotel reached out to apologise for the subpar experience. I also recommended them that they should categorise West facing units as their lowest offering.
