Fantastic hotel for our family trip. The pool was great for a cool off after a day out and great that kids can be in it throughout the day. Spa pool is worth doing on a morning when it’s quiet. Location is brilliant and walking down through the garden is really quick to get down to the riverfront. Service was excellent and rooms were so quiet and air conditioning was excellent.

A Wonderful Second Stay This was my second visit to this lovely hotel by the Douro river, and it was just as magical as the first. The location is unbeatable, offering breathtaking views of the river and Porto’s skyline—perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The rooms are spacious, contemporary, and exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. I especially appreciate the attention to detail in the design and the curated pieces of art, which add a touch of luxury to the experience. The service deserves a special mention: the staff are genuinely attentive, always ready to help, and make you feel truly welcome. All in all, this hotel remains a favorite and I look forward to returning again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Vila Nova de Gaia!

The facilities of the hotel, the room design, decor, location are all really world class. Imagine seeing the postcard perfect image of Porto from your hotel room, and every other major location of the hotel like outdoor/indoor pool, sky bar, etc. The pools were a really great addition to our time in Porto. It’s also walking distance to some really good port houses like Taylor’s. You can also buy their own brand port cheaper than I saw elsewhere and enjoy in your room. The room we had was very large, new and quiet. The main downsides of this hotel for us were the rooms smell from the off gassing of the paints, etc, since this is a very new hotel opened in 2025. Our rooms were also quite dusty. The other main issue was we got adjoining rooms thinking we can keep the door open between us and the kids. The way it’s designed that’s not really possible unless a door stop is put in place. When the adjoining doors close you need a keycard to get back in which is quite scary. We asked for one but apparently they were all out for our entire stay, which made it quite inconvenient. Even though these points lessened sour experience, I’m only deducting one star, since the place overall is just too amazing to pass up. Hopefully service can be improved in the future based on these points.
