TK Palace Hotel & Convention

For the US/Thai residents who are looking for a long stay in the northern Bangkok area. I highly recommend TK Palace Hotel & Convention. I was a solo traveler, staying there for a month, visiting family and friends in the area where the hotel was located. I was impressed by the staff and the service they provided. From the front door to the lobby to the coffee shop and restaurant, to the elevator to your room, and the fitness and spa, they have plenty of friendly staff in every corner, ready to attend to you. It was good to see familiar faces and was able to chat with them here and there daily. This place reminded me of a home away from home. Every morning, I was greeted by an assistant manager, Khun Prasert, at the breakfast area. He provided excellent service and made sure everything went smoothly and that I could have a better start out of the day. I loved to visit the coffee shop on the first floor daily, they have delicious and fancy coffee, tea, and other beverages too. The front counter staff members at the check-in lobby are very friendly, they recognized and said hello to me every time I walked by. It was nice to be able to have conversations with familiar staff while traveling alone. The atmosphere of the hotel was homey, and the room at the new building was clean and comfortable. I loved that for a monthly stay they have offered free laundry service up to 60 pieces. You drop dirty clothes off in the morning then in the evening you receive fresh clean clothes on hangers, so no more laundromat for me. Happy stay! Will be back here once a year! US/Thai traveler

Overall experience is good. Room is ok with standard requirements. However, the most disappointing point is Wynn coffee shop and restaurant on the lobby level. We ordered latte and carrot cake. Latte was great but carrot cake was super dry and the cream cheese was also old. So we decided to return it and informed the staff. The team of staff told us that carrot cake was supposed to be like that, unlike other cake texture, and said sorry. No other explanation, other than this is the way the carrot cake should be. I was surprised with the way that this so called 4 stars hotel trained their staff to recover the situation. Carrot cake is one of my favourite cake and I have been tasting carrot cake from so many places and this one is definitely the Worst carrot cake I have tried so far. The hotel facilities are great and other staff are so helpful, just one department that ruined the guest experience. **The product can sometimes be inconsistent BUT it is the people that can turn the point and make it right.** Breakfast was not so great either. No latte, no honey, no omelette station. Quite surprise with the size of the hotel with the breakfast lines that don’t include these simple breakfast items.

The hotel was okay. Great value. We have arrived on a weekend night and the parking was packed with guests from the event (or wedding). Luckily they have an EV charger nearby (9 THB/Kwh for AC and 9.5 THB/Kwh for DC). The lobby looks new with multiple selection of restaurants. The check-in process was okay. We got the cheapest room as we were stayed only 7 hours for bed and bath. Only one keycard was provided. The staff was helpful. Our room was on the 9th floor of Building 1. There were just only elevator available. It was not busy but the wait time was a bit much. The room was okay despite its old look. The size was spacious for the price and looks clean. Amenities were fine but the towels looks old. You can loan tableware for your bring-in/delivery food for 100 THB. The shower was not work properly as expected. There was only cold and hot. We try everything but still can't make it warm. Cheap and stay-able is a conclusion.
