Good location. Room and bathroom were okay but tired in need of a good clean and refurbishing- perhaps a lick of paint! The front door and key code access was the issue with this apart/hotel as it didn’t work owing to an issue with the lock. The keys given for the front door also didn’t work, however there was a hidden key that did. If the front door is sorted and the rooms freshened up, it is definitely worth staying for a couple of nights.
Exercise Caution with Magenta Collection: We rented an apartment with this company in January 2025 for three nights and the photos on their website are NOT accurate. The apartment was missing furniture and artwork and decorations (like pillows) present in photos, but absent in the actual unit. The furniture that was present was dirty and stained and in very poor condition. The unit had dirty dishes in the cupboards and a smelly bathroom. Magenta offered a 40 percent discount or told us we could find another place to rent (on a Friday afternoon after we had just arrived in the city). All we expected was an honest portrayal of the rental unit! I would not trust Magenta to fairly represent their properties in Rome and would advise against using them in future.
Visited in July 2024 from Canada. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay here, and I’m honestly not sure how this place is rated as high as it is. I felt like it was comparable to a hostel with a private bathroom. Room: The room had enough space, but did not feel very clean. We couldn’t get over the lingering smell of urine. We even went to the local grocery store to buy some air fresheners for the room to survive the two days there, but the smell wouldn’t go away. It had dusty corners/baseboards and the fabric headboard was stained. The room had a good size safe and mini fridge (they included two cans of pop and two bottles of water). The air conditioning worked well. Bathroom: Shower gel and hand soap are provided, but do not smell good. Luckily I had some of my own shower gel to use. Towels and a hair dryer are provided. The toilet seat cover was broken and the toilet seat was stained. The shower had moldy corners and based on the shower frame, it once had a door, which was now missing, therefore making it difficult to shower without wetting the bathroom floor and door. Service: Front desk was overall friendly. He booked us a taxi transfer to airport very quickly. There is no 24 hour concierge, but you can message them through WhatsApp. There is a small common area that includes a kitchen and patio. Location/Building: Good location near Piazza Navona, but it is on a main road, in a condo building with other businesses/residents, so it’s not really a hotel. It’s basically an apartment that has been divided into four rooms, with a common space. Lots of sites and restaurants within walking distance, as well as a grocery store.
