Tofuya Resort&Spa Izu

This place is amazing, peaceful a place you can contemplate. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. Everything was taken care of as soon as you arrive. We had an outdoor Onsen in our room which we used but there are other outdoor public Onsens you can use and book for privet use. Bakery on the grounds is excellent to have lunch time snack. We were all inclusive so breakfast and evening meal was included. Food was excellent and a great Japanese experience and hospitality. All clothing was provided so did not use anything we took. Can even dress up in kimono for the evening meal a great experience. I would strongly recommend this place.

I love everything in this ryokan. Tofuya is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and full of details. Strongly recommend to stay for 2 night as there are a lot to explore within Tofuya property. One can relax in the elegant and luxurious lobby, also can chill by the river. Food are amazing here especially dinner. Each corner, each place is well taken care of and presents Japanese aestheticism. Service is superb, truly appreciate every staff’s effort during our stay. Hopefully we can revisit soon.

I cannot recommend this ryokan highly enough. The staff are incredibly welcoming and professional. From the moment you arrive all of your needs are met. The grounds are beautiful, including a museum detailing the history of the site as well as a hike to a vantage point to see Mount Fuji. Food was incredibly delicious and we were provided more than we could ever eat each morning and night. The three days we spent were the highlight of our trip to Japan. Thank you so much!
