Tombolo Talasso Resort

Very nice hotel. I’ve been there with my family to celebrate my wife’s birthday in mid May. The location is quiet which means that this place is great for people looking for a non noisy place to regenerate themselves. The SPA is excellent and the treatments were also excellent too. We enjoyed very much the restaurant Corallo, very nice and good dishes. Every dish was prepared with care, and the food was not standard. I have never tried gourmet food before and I was scared of being still hungry after having it (small dishes) but it was great and balanced perfectly. The guys in the restaurant were super in making a special cake for my wife and helping me for a surprise gift for breakfast. They were really great. All the staff I had to deal with was excellent in my opinion. The SPA and the pool are very nice, with nice and helpful personnel. We enjoyed the place a lot. Marina di Castagneto Carducci is designed to have quiet vacations in my opinion, and it is a small town. This notwithstanding there’s a little bit of everything there and I have found it very accommodating, even if we stayed there for a short time only. I totally advise this hotel for people who love to combine relax, body care and excellent food in a seafront environment, all integrated and close by. Honestly I would go once again. I saw reviews saying the rooms are dirty, the pools are dirty and the food is not good. I don’t think it is like that. Maybe (but it is just a speculation because we’ve not been there in high season) when the structure is overloaded in August or July it can happen that the staff struggles, but that’s definitely something that happens everywhere in my opinion. Also I noticed that somebody complains about the town, saying there’s not nothing to do. It all depends on the kind of vacation one’s looking for. This location is for quiet people who want to relax. Before going and complaining, one should use google maps and try to understand the services present in the place and what the place is. I noticed that somebody complained about the lack of availability of the deckchairs at the swimming pool. In my opinion, it does not depend on the hotel, this depends unfortunately on rude people that leave their towels there to occupy them, go away, and then come back at an unspecified time. Five stars hotels sometimes do not host five stars people unfortunately. Overall very satisfied. My wife and son were very happy as well.

One of the best places I've stayed... Right in the heart of the small town on the beach with spectacular wineries all around and wonderful accommodations... The five sea water spa pools were amazing, we used every day. Staying here made me want to buy a place in this town.

Service people at the beach are shouting at you when you trying to take first lane of sun bed at 9:30am for just 30 min of morning sun before heading out at 10, running to you almost fighting screaming that out of 40 front line beds ALL OF THEM OCCUPIED AND RESERVED! Wtf? We asked to lay down for 30 min, ruuude and cheap! They tell you that it’s been reserved yet they a solid empty for full day. Not a resort vibe at all Service otherwise is good. Breakfast have a great options. Room is well equipped, you can ask for feather pillows if needed. Sea view is amazing, but people here need to chill a bit. It’s a vacation house not a sun bed Battle.
