The hotspot in Paramaribo. Pool parties on Saturday and Sunday, great music, and a vibe that’s truly magical. The hotel itself is by Surinamese standards is one of the best, with prices comparable to a European 4-star hotel. But if you compare it to actual European hotels 3/4 star hotels, it falls short in terms of quality, service, and cleanliness. The place is kid-friendly, and the wellness area is decent. Staff is hit or miss, some are quick and helpful, others do the bare minimum. There aren’t many real alternatives to Torarica, so just get used to the Suriname vibe and slower pace. If would visit Paramaribo again it’s my to go place.

We went for drinks in the evening. The cocktails taste good, but the food needs upgrading. The shrimp of $38 was overpriced for the quality. Overcooked/burned shrimp, medium sized and 8 pieces. For this price I expect XL shrimps like in the past. Torarica you can do better...... The service was what you expect of this kind of hotel.
