Our experience at this hotel was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The entire property is spotless, and the design reflects a deep sense of care and intention. One standout moment was being introduced to the artwork by Portuguese artists during check-in—a unique and personal touch that made us feel immediately connected to the space. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Staff members were always available, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. A particularly memorable detail was the manager taking the time to speak with us at checkout to ensure our stay had been perfect. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes about the hotel’s commitment to truly outstanding hospitality. Accommodations 5* Food 5* Property & Amenities 5* An inland riveria with what you would desire from a Michelin property. The rooms and common areas are picturesque and should be visited by Arch Digest. Well appointed and furnished to relax the mind. The staff is top notch. Not too assertive but very attentive and respectful. The restaurant options have a nice variety from bar to Michelin. This is what you want. A kitchen that can provide delicious bites on the go and the more exquisite dishes for that special moment. We personally, loved the breakfast and infinity pool in the mornings, property amenities during the day (gym, vineyard, spa), and bar/restaurant options in the evening. A beautiful oasis to call home base if you are looking to stay put in Douro valley or venture out into the countryside. ~ Cheers.

We had an exceptional stay at Torel Quinta da Vacaria, truly one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been carefully thought through. The room, service, food, and the property itself were all absolutely perfect. We enjoyed a beautiful wine tasting, indulged in spa treatments, and had a phenomenal dinner at Schisto. Every moment felt special. The setting is breathtaking and the hospitality unmatched. We are already dreaming of our next visit!
