Torenhuis Medemblik

Spent a nice midweek in the Torenhuis. From that central location we made beautiful trips to Alkmaar, Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Den Helder. The Tower House lives up to its name: you climb spiral stairs from the basement to the fourth floor. The house is very fully furnished and super clean. Highly recommended!

We were allowed to spend the weekend in the Torenhuis; it was overwhelming. From the first contact, everything worked perfectly. Marius, the owner, welcomed us warmly and explained everything important to us. The house is a dream! Very tastefully decorated! Great location! Very friendly owner! Cleanliness top! The other two houses also seem very nice. We would like to thank you for the easy booking and the lovely weekend and are already looking forward to the next time 👍

We spent a few lovely days in North Holland. The landlord was very helpful, and everything worked out with access. The location is truly perfect, so we hardly ever had to use our car. That was a mistake, though, because you're not supposed to park for long periods right next to the house on the "westhavn." Otherwise, your car will get covered in seagull droppings! It was fatal for the paint. There are better parking options within 100 meters, but we didn't know that upon arrival. Parking is free in Medemblik, except for the parking disc zone on the shopping street "niewstraat." The house was perfectly equipped, so we immediately felt at home. Except for a leaky window on the third floor in the second bedroom, which let in the nighttime noise of teenagers and their vehicles, the "achteroom" is a youth hangout, which is great. We'll be back.
