Toronto Marriott Markham

Stayed here during a quick trip to Toronto where we also needed to visit points east of the city. The location right off the 407 was perfect for that. The hotel feels very new and upscale, and befits the 4 star rating. The rooms are large. There are many restaurants within walking distance. We'd stay here again no question.

I was planning on staying downtown even though I was spending more than half my time north of the city. I was tired of the tired hotels offered in the northern suburbs. My son recommended the Marriott Markham and I begrudgingly tried it. I was delighted by both the physical structure and the top notch service. I was also blown away by the surrounding amenities that have surrounded this area that has grown tremendously over the past five years.

We stayed here for three nights, the room was clean and spacious. The location is really good, close to shopping centers and so many restaurants are nearby. We had access to the M Club, they served breakfast, appetizers 5-8pm, desserts 8-11pm and it was open 24 hours. However, we did have one small disappointment. Our car battery died, and we asked the receptionist for help. We had our own jumper cables and only needed someone with a car to help jump-start ours. Unfortunately, we were told there was no car available to assist. We eventually returned to the parking garage, asked a few people, and thankfully found someone kind enough to help us . Overall, we enjoyed our stayed.
