Torre de Palma Wine Hotel Monforte a Member of Design Hotels

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our vacation. What can I say? It was simply fantastic from start to finish, from check-in to dessert. The staff do an incredible job. It was one of my most wonderful experiences; it's so many little things that make a difference. I've stayed at many places around the world, but this was by far the best. Thank you to the entire Torre de Palma team!

Was expecting a lot more from this hotel, considering that it’s a 5 star and how much it costs. Went there with a couple of friends for a weekend to enjoy a wine fest happening on the property (for which tickets needed to be purchased separately). I liked the hotel but I don’t think that it is a good value for money and there are clearly some improvements to be made. The hotel is very nice and you can see that there is a lot of thought on the decoration and vibes of the hotel, with the room I was in being very spacious and with a cool decoration. However the room smelled a little like sewers which was noticeable every time you entered the room. In terms of service there are also some improvements, the breakfast is good but very simple and the hot plates usually take some time to arrive after you order them. I didn’t use the restaurant but one time had lunch and the food was ok (a bit overpriced for what you get) but the service even if it’s friendly was not good, since it took ages for the food to arrive and also they seemed to have lost part of the order. This also seemed to happen to another group which also spent around 1h to get their order. A good thing is that you can order stuff to the pool or bedroom via WhatsApp which works very well. But the bar closes at 11 p.m. so service is very limited after that time even though staff did their best to still provide drinks and some snacks. The facilities were great, with a big indoor pool and also a great outdoor pool but since you’re in the middle of the countryside expect a lot of bugs. Mainly spiders. Also good parking with free EV chargers (only 2). Overall 4 stars but would like to come back to see if the service was just unlucky and also to see if other rooms have the same issue and also to explore more of their activities.

Unless you want to spend 3.5 hours having a meal, I highly recommend staying away from the restaurant. It’s a beautiful space, and the hotel looks pleasant but the service leaves a lot to be desired. They constantly forgot orders, took hours to get food out and overcharged me for the final bill. Food was top quality but the experience more than offset that for us. Horrid.
