This year, my husband and I finally made it to Puglia and spent a week at a cute hotel we found online. It’s in a really authentic part of Puglia, close to places like Ostuni and Martina Franca, and has gorgeous beaches nearby. The stay was super relaxing. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, especially Marco, the lifeguard. The private beach was beautiful, our room was clean, and the food was great. The pool is small, but that didn’t bother us.
Didn't turn out how we expected, definitely not 4 stars maybe a 3, food is good but is a bit repetitive Location as we knew was a bit remote but if you don't have a car (we ended up hiring for 3 days at a very reasonable rate) €30 each way in a taxi to nearest station We used the trains quite a bit fantastic service and very cheap (we drove the car to nearest station caravigno) we covered some 1400 kms I n the three day hire puglia is a beautiful area and the people are amazing. Hotel had some particular rules for example you can't swim in the pool without a cap (which you purchase from reception) buildings are a bit 1970's holiday camp and furniture is very basic Wouldn't return but we always make the best of where we are staying
Overall 2 star rating due to the front desk staffs inability to do their job & poor attitude. When asking simple questions or for assistance it seemed to as if we were an inconvenience & he defaulted to “that’s a question for the supervisor” when asked where the supervisor was was he told us they were probably on their way in. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt maybe it was a bad day, surely this can’t be how he deals with all guests. If this is the standard perhaps he should choose a different profession as his customer service skills, or lack there of, will not take him very far.
