Torre Porto Venere

What a place to stay! It's conveniently located right by the main square so it's easy to walk to if you get a cab or bus into town. There's no lift, be aware, so you will have to work a bit to get your bags up the stairs. We were lucky enough to get the room with the private balcony. It's basically the same as the balcony where breakfast is served, however there's a hefty plant with trellis to separate the two areas. The view from the balcony was just spectacular, and when the sun was out, the marina was stunning. The staff were lovely, so friendly and welcoming, and did whatever they could do to make our stay better. The room itself was maybe a bit compact, but we expected this from the photos, and while it is a bit small, it's done up very nicely and it had everything we needed. The balcony door is also exceptionally soundproofed; even when it was super busy and noisy outside, closing the door and switching on the air conditioning meant you really couldn't hear much at all, even if people were chatting on the balcony. There were sometimes noises like chairs being dragged coming from elsewhere in the building (upstairs?) even late at night but this was a minor concern. The great location meant it was a nice hub to get around and visit all the local restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay again.

Whether you're gazing out at the stunning views from your room or exploring the area, the hotel serves as an ideal base for a relaxing retreat. A highlight of our stay was definitely the nearby restaurant, Trattoria Tre Torri, also run by the hotel owners. The food there was simply exceptional, with a menu that beautifully showcases local flavors and ingredients. Each meal was a culinary delight, further enhancing our overall experience at Torre a Mare. For anyone seeking a small, exclusive getaway that combines luxury, comfort, and a genuine sense of belonging, I can't recommend Torre a Mare hotel enough. It's not just a place to stay; it's an experience that will leave you longing to return.

The location is really great! The rooms are nice if you are only 2 people - no kids! The breakfast is very good and diverse and the terrace is astonishing. The lady at the breakfast very friendly and helpful. Caterina was also very helpful and very solution oriented. Not só good was the fact that we had to wait for someone to open us the doors, as no one was at the reception when we arrived, and when we left, before the check out time, they didn’t allow us back in to use the toilet nor to change the clothes, after we had left for a couple of hours in the morning. Parking is ok, not só far away but be aware if you have a larger car!!!
