Torrione Hotel

This is a quaint hotel, fair priced with a very friendly staff. The rooms are very nice, sufficient and comfortable. The beds are well supported and perfectly firm. Vehicle parking is off site in a secured garage able to fit a larger SUV. The hotel has a restaurant that serves a fabulous assortment. The manager/owner speaks English. We will stay again when we’re the area.

So far on this trip, we have stayed in Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Pompeii and Salerno and none of the hotels has been as welcoming and helpful as Torrione Hotel. On arrival we were greeted by happy and helpful staff, and offered a drink. As a couple of weary travellers fresh off of a 4.5 hour train ride, this was such a wonderful gesture. While enjoying our beers we had a long chat with Tina - she is a shining light doing Canada proud all the way over here in Italy. A gentleman whose name I neglected to ask (shame on me) helped us with advice regarding a rental car and organised a taxi for us. He was extremely patient through the whole process and always happy to help. This is one hotel where you won't be left wondering if the online photos are of a different place. Our room is exactly as clean, bright, and cosy as advertised - we really couldn't have asked for more!

Marvellous staff. Very pleasant hotel conveniently located for all Reggio Calabria's main attractions.
