Good time in Tuscany. Big and clean appartments & pool. Nice restaurant. Unfo pianoforte in hall need big service and ground tuning. Anyway good option to stay few days there
We were part of a group and arrived in the evening around 9 pm. Food was served at the table and started from 9.30pm till up to 11.30 pm. The staff was serving the food in such a slow and lackadaisical way that half the group quit before the entire course was served. This was repeated for breakfast the next day as well where the previous days leftovers were served and buffet was not refilled unless explicitly requested by us. The most egregious thing was that only our group of Indians were ignored. The treatment for Europeans sitting in a different hall seemed to be much better. The hotel itself is located in a very quaint location which requires some travelling. The ambience is quite good and the rooms are maintained quite well. If not for the poor quality of service during meals I would say this was quite a good hotel.
When we booked this hotel it looked very good in the pictures. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpfull. However,... The bar was not staffed (and closed by a fence during our stay). Only 1 of the 2 elevators worked and the one that worked didn't feel safe (it once started to go up before the doors closed). When we wanted to enter our room we almost had to ram open the door to get in. The door had and electronic key, but the doorlock was quite firm. The first thing we noticed when we entered our room was that it smelled like sigaret smoke, and not just it little bit. It smelled like someone just smoked in the room. The room itself looked nothing like in the pictures. The furniture was realy old and the beds were horrible. The 2 matrasses were hanging over both sides of the bed and were realy thin and hard. The pillows were bad as well. In this case you were better off without a pillow because the were thin and rock hard. There were also only 2 bottles of water in the mini bar. You also couldn't plug in the fridge and TV at the same time because there was only 1 plug for both appliances. I would not recommend this hotel for this price and I wonder how it ever got 4 stars.
