A true traditional Japanese inn experience with futon beds, tamami floors, and onsen. We loved the private bath. Both breakfast and dinner were huge and delicious. They offer noodles at 10pm in the reception area, yakult near the baths and free beer in the room’s mini fridge.
Great food!! If you love seafood this is the place for you. The seaweed cold noodles served during dinner was really good as well. We stayed in a room called Hoshi. The view out of the window was so green in July. The beds were comfy and I slept well. The private bath had a window looking out into trees and bamboos but no breeze. They have a ramen service from 10pm but we were to sleepy by that time we couldn’t try the ramen. The hotel is located near Minami Ito station but the hotel provides free shuttle busses to and from Ito station. The area around the hotel is residential. We went to Maboroshi Hakurankai, about twenty minutes away by taxi.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. The place was clean, relaxing and just a very nice place to be away from the city to relax and rest. The onsen was also very comfortable, with adjustable temperature. Would definitely come back to visit again.
