Town & Country Motor Inn Forbes

We spent 3 days in Forbes, staying at the Motel. Enjoyed our stay completely. Great room, great location and wonderful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were clean but nothing too fancy (ripped towels). The most disappointing was the dinner. Ordered chinese pork dish and I got big chunks of chewy meat with a little bit of veggies. Paid $30 for it and when I put it on a room they charged me another $4.95 for admin fee. I was less then impressed. I will not come back here.

We stayed for one night and the price of the room was more than the standard provided. This motel had the highest price for a standard queen room. We thought it would be much better than others in the area but that wasn’t to be. It was a hot night. The rooms have been refurbished but there are no opening windows for fresh air. There is a door leading to a patio overlooking the golf course but it doesn’t have screen so not able to use it. No ceiling fan so it was hot and very still in the room. Only alternative- use the air conditioner which is not idea for some people. The bed was good (nothing to get overly excited about). The mini fridge just kept things cool and if you are travelling and need ice blocked frozen for your esky, forget it. Ours actually melted in the freezer section. We got a coupon for a drink at the sports club (within walking distance) and the food was yuck 🤮. My husband’s sausages were not cooked through. My chicken burger was cold. Not worth the free glass of beer. So, summing up - we couldn’t recommend staying there.
