Toyota Shirakawa go Eco Institute

Opted for the half board package for 1 night to explore Shirakawa-go. As it was snowing pretty heavily, we did not explore much around the hotel. Meals were fantastic and staff were helpful and courteous. We stayed in the family tatami room with attach toilet but no bath. Gives us the opportunity to us the Onsen, which the whole family loves.

We had a very pleasant stay at Toyota Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute. The facilities were thought through to the detail. We enjoyed the onsen after a day of exploration. The guided tour walk offer by the hotel was the main reason why we picked to stay here over others. The extra knowledge we learnt about the surrounding is much appreciated. It also made us felt comfortable to explore the area afterwards. Thank you Kagawa-san for recommending us the trail. We got to see the nature a bit more ☺️ Last but the least, to our surprise, we would like to compliment the chef at the restaurant. The meals were exceptional and creative! We enjoyed very much the interpretation of Japanese ingredients into French cuisine. It was perfectly paired and balanced. We also enjoyed the variety of desserts at the end. It is a nice touch, particularly when it comes to dessert decision dilemma 😆 Thank you! It was a perfect place to wind down at the end of our long trip in Japan.

Staff was super kind and helpful. Place was clean and onsen was lovely. Room rate included a very good dinner and good breakfast so all in all great value.
