On the beautiful and remote yet accessible beach of Palo Seco we found this oasis of tranquility. The accommodation is simple and functional without artificial fluff that allows to completely enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the ocean and the beach lined by coconut trees. Steven is a friendly and attentive host who served delicious breakfast and made us feel welcome. We had originally planned to stay only one night but then ended up extending as we enjoyed the place so much.
Tranquilidad is a wonderful resort, very much off the beaten path. Steven and the rest of the staff are wonderful, and the food served in the restaurant is excellent. The resort's setting is amazing: right on the pristine beach of Isla Playa Palo Seco. It's not crowded, great ocean breezes, and lovely sunsets. If you want to relax and get away from it all, Tranquilidad is a great choice. We've been there three times, and will return again!
The room was adequate but we were disappointed that both pools were not available for use due to the turbidity of the water. Additionally, the beach chairs were in disrepair and the second level of the rancho was closed. We were supposed to meet up with our friends and enjoy the day with food and drink but were told that service would only be available at 2pm. As a result, we chose to leave and ended up spending the day in Esterillos
