I loved my stay at Trastevere Suites! I arrived after the staff had left for the day, but the instructions I received were perfect! Well detailed and documented with photos. Staff were also incredibly responsive and helpful with recommendations for nearby restaurants and things to do. Location was convenient to several public transportation routes. Room was large and clean.
Very clean, lovely room. Air con, good WiFi, lots of amenities like tea/coffee, towels, hairdryer, shampoo and hot tub! A little bit outside the city for a short trip if you want to see sights but ideal if you want to stay longer in a less touristy area of Rome surrounded by beautiful restaurants and markets. Despite this, there is a bus stop across the road, and if you turn left coming out of the hotel, there are a number of cafe restaurants and a tourist information centre over the bridge.
If you don't mind cold showers or you visit in August, these beautiful rooms could be just the place for you. Set on the handy number 8 tram line and well connected to Piazza Venezia and Trastevere Station, the building is just within Rome's 271AD - 275AD Aurelian walls. The administrators were friendly and helpful, the rooms were tastefully decorated and stylish the shower was big and roomy - just such a shame someone turned the hot water off. One other minor gripe: you have to lock and unlock the door from the inside by inserting the key which is padlocked to the lightswitch dongle, so the lights go off before you can get the key in the lock. But mostly it was just a shame about the water. I had an aborted cold shower at midnight, another at 7am and a tepid one which I persisted with at 9am.
