Travelers Orange Suites

After being in Medellin a bunch times I will say this was my least favorite place to stay. The building itself looks rundown and old and the view from the duplex room I was in, was pretty terrible since construction is being done right in front of the building. You can’t keep the window blinds open because the workers are there all day and can see directly in. Therefore it’s dark because the blinds must be closed. The AC is also pretty bad, barely cooled anything. Definitely not strong enough for the entire house. I booked it because the host said “Stunning Duplex w/ a great view”. It’s VERY misleading. The view is terrible. I knew that it would be noisy because we are in poblado but noisy music is very different than construction work all day. I would not stay here again or recommend.

There is a construction site in front where they drill from 7 am to 6 pm, which is uninhabitable. In addition to the nighttime noise from music, during the week until 1 am and on weekends until 4 am. We chose this large and spacious place because we work online all day, but it was a bad investment because due to the meeting we had to go out every day to work from cafes and when we arrived we still couldn't rest. The apartment does not have salt, sugar, oil and these minimal things that you normally find in a decent Airbnb.

Locks to balcony are not secure and do not lock. Very weak air conditioning unit. Very, very loud on Saturday night until approximately 4am. I paid double price for the room 705 by booking via hosts Mar & Juliana on Airbnb - painful! Towels are old and full of stains. Overall, I’d skip this place and look elsewhere.
