Here on business, so far so its decent. I'm loving Glasgow. Staff are friendly and room is clean. Walking distance to the main shopping complex which is very busy and lots shops and food joints. Also a cinema is over the road and not far from the city centre. Highly recommend.

We stay for 2 nights and was lovely All the employees are so kind and welcoming… Breakfast in the morning is super helpful You can have everything for breakfast just few steps from your room. We had a big room for 4 people and were super cozy… Parking outside is really good with plenty of space. There’s a tiny bar beside the reception where you can order drinks and pints. You can order as well your dinner and have a nice meal in the restaurant beside the reception. The location is great but not because is far from the city center. Around the hotel you can have many options of restaurants. Just beside the total you have a cinema with few restaurants, across the street the a huge shopping center with loads of shops, restaurants, MS supermarket, IKEA, Decathlon, McDonalds, Krispy Krean and much much more…. I completely recommend this hotel for who is planning to stay in Glasgow Is located in a quiet place and many options of shopping and dining… The WiFi in the hotel it’s not for free. The first 30 minutes it’s free and then 3 pounds per day

Comfy beds couldn’t make up for the frustrating policies, lack of basics, and overall poor experience. I’ve stayed at other Travelodge locations over the years without complaint—but this was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. After reading some of the positive reviews, I genuinely wonder if we even stayed at the same place. Let me start with the one positive: the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, that’s where the good ends. We had been planning this trip for nearly two years to attend an international sporting event nearby, and the majority of guests at the hotel were there for the same event. I must note that we booked and paid for our rooms individually with our own credit cards- not as a “group booking”- this will be relevant information later on in the review. The property was well below basic standard—the worst I’ve encountered in all my travels. We ended up calling it the “No”-tel, because the answer to everything was “no”: • Can we get a second room key? No. We don’t do that for group stays. (Despite each room being booked individually.) • Could breakfast start 30 minutes earlier for two mornings to accomodate the athletes? No. (Even though dozens of athletes needed to leave before the current breakfast start time.) - we do understand that scheduling may have been an issue. But there were zero options or accommodations. Not even a cup of coffee made early (on the automatic machine). For those of us who could wait for the breakfast- it was terrible. So perhaps that’s another positive that the athletes didn’t have to eat it. • Takeaway coffee cups? No. • Wi-Fi included? Only for 30 minutes. After that, there’s a fee. Even then, it barely worked. (The nearby shopping centre’s free Wi-Fi was far better.) • Are rooms cleaned daily? No. And- this is what I was told- it’s “interesting”- The manager explained that “housekeeping only enters for about 45 seconds” to drop fresh towels (if requested) and spray a scent in the room. No garbage emptied. No toilet paper restocked. Full cleaning only happens every four to five days. It was bizarre! It’s to minimize the transmission of germs. There wasn’t even a place to hang used towels—we had to drape them over our luggage to dry. There were holes in the back of the bathroom door where we assume a towel hook used to be (photo provided), but nothing was installed in its place. Their consistent response to any concern or request was: “We’re a corporate hotel—these are our standards.” Walking into the room after check-in was a letdown: • Stained carpets • Wide open windows (no screens) • No safe in the room or on site—not ideal for international travellers • Basic furnishings: one bed, a small desk with sticky residue, two plastic chairs, and a hanging rack with a few hangers. • Musty smell masked with overpowering room spray • Mold in the bathroom, fan not working, bugs in the soap dispenser • No face cloths (we bought some at the local pound shop) It was a deeply disappointing start to a trip we had looked forward to for years. Other guests from various parts of the world staying there expressed similar frustrations. I even felt bad for some of the staff—who seemed to know they couldn’t offer what most travelers would consider basic service. Again, the only plus? The beds were comfortable. But overall, sadly this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
