Big thanks to Patricia for being so helpful! She made sure my celiac-friendly breakfast came from the kitchen, not the buffet, and I was surprised she was also the one at reception when I checked out. As for the rooms, they’re a bit outdated and could’ve been cleaner. Overall, we had a great stay
Good location near to Southern Cross Station and several tram lines, ideal for a stay if you just need a place to sleep. In saying that, sleep quality was not the best - The mattress felt very well used, and the sheets were scratchy, almost sandpaper-like (I suspect they were brand new sheets straight out of the packet and hadn't been washed or softened yet). Also the morning was quite noisy, I could hear a lot of doors closing, and various crashing/banging noise coming from the corridors and housekeeping staff, so I guess the entrance doors are quite poorly soundproofed. The lobby is quite nice and seems recently renovated, but the rooms are a bit dated. Staff were friendly enough.
Good location with a short walk to South Wharf and Melbourne Convention Centre. Rooms need a complete makeover, including carpets, curtains, paint. Televisions need to be upgraded to Smart TV's. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
