Tre Borghi

Tre Borghi is a wonderful place. Very well equipped modern house surrounded by nature with beautiful sea views and peaceful tranquility. We spent an amazing week with my family with lots of fun and relaxation. We have been to many different places in Italy but this was one of the best. Domenico and his family were always willing to help us with anything we asked for (making reservations at great restaurants, giving some tips on beaches and places to visit). There is everything you need, small shops with groceries (2 minutes by car), nice little town of Scario about 10-15 minutes drive, lots of nice beaches 30-45 minutes and very beautiful countryside around. It's only been a few days since we left but I already miss it and look forward to seeing it again. Thank you Domenico.

First, the place is fantastic, a spacious and cozy apartment with all you need for a great vacation, beautiful scenery and exceptional cleanliness. Second, Domenico is a great host. He welcomed us with a great smile and coffee and also shared a lot of valuable info about the whereabouts. He did everything with professionalism and was always eager to help. He went beyond just a host, setting us up with any reservations we needed, schedules and provided great tips throughout the whole stay. We recommend this place with all our heart.

We visited many places before in Italy in various regions and holiday homes, but something was always missing and we needed to make compromises. I searched a lot to find the ideal spot, where we have all what we need and feel great, included our two dogs... the Tre Borghi offers everything we were looking for a perfect stay. - The houses (ours was the Tragara house with lovely sea-themed decoration), have absolutely practical layout,  spacious, spotlessly clean, cosy rooms, and very comfortable beds. We love to cook and bake from local products ourselves, and a well-equipped kitchen is very important with enough pots and gadgets, like we found here. The bathroom was also lovely and can't complain about water pressure or temperature ever. We stayed long and to be able to wash our clothes was essential. The view from the house of the sea, the Gulf of Policastro, Sapri and Maratea is wonderful, with the majestic mountain Bulgheria on the other side. - The location is quiet, in a not too busy part of the village, on a huge fenced property. All of the houses have the view to the sea, but the hedge around them keeps privacy so we can't see the neighbours (but it's nice to meet people from all over the world, if we want). The dogs were running safe and had a lot of fun chasing the lizards - they felt very much at home too. There are beautiful flowers and rosemary bushes everywhere, and fruit trees planted all around, we picked some mulberries which were super sweet (in May), but later in the year other fruits are available aswell. - The roads are in good condition and easy to drive around (with longer/bigger cars too). Traffic jams only occur if a herd of goats cross the road. - About the surroundings - we had wonderful walks on the hills close by with a view of the sea from San Giovanni a Piro (charming town with all the essential shops, bars, restaurants etc.) The seaside village of Scario is 15 mins by car. We loved the small natural beaches reachable only after a 30 min walk. Further away there are many longer walks/hiking routes in the Cilento, or with a 1 hour drive we reached Paestum (Archaeological park) and Agropoli too. The hosts, Francesca and Domenico are really nice and welcoming people, they put a lot of heart and work into the Tre Borghi.  Nothing is too much trouble for them and we have been spoiled. Domenico speaks very good English and on request will speak italian! We would definitely like to return soon. It is a great place to work from with a good and stable Internet connection, and plenty to do and visit in the area - or it's ideal just to rest and relax.
