Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

A very special location! It was such a joy to stay here at Grand Oak Manor - the staff took very good care of us, they were attentive and yet respectful of our space. The property and the gardens are very nicely maintained - especially when you consider the difficulty and challenges that the team face in terms of limited access to resources and park restrictions. They do an excellent job and really pay attention to the details. There are fresh flowers throughout the property, home made cakes and jams, strawberries picked from the garden. We walked the extended Binsar trail (about 13km) and enjoyed it a lot - but a certain level of physical fitness is required! Be prepared! Thank you Grand Oak team, we hope to return!

Great view with great hospitality. The location offers 360° view of valleys and snowy hills. The service is excellent. The rooms are neat and comfortable even at freezing temperatures while offering amazing views. The food quality is superlative, the only thing that can be improved is the food spread in the buffet, although it's situated in a very remote location and there may be constraints which is understandable.

My stay at the hotel was quite disappointing. For first two nights out of four night, there was complete black out. How can a person relax if he/she has to spend all night without sleep due to no electricity. One can’t sleep in darkness. This made things extremely uncomfortable. You cannot use restroom in darkness for fear of spiders or others insects of jungle. What made it worse was the indifferent response from the staff when we raised the issue. Surprisingly, There was no mention of lack of electricity AC & fan on your website or booking platform, which is misleading, especially given the high prices being charged. Guests deserve honesty and basic amenities—this experience fell short of both.
