Trivelles Waterhall Country Hotel Gatwick

This was a great place to stay and very convenient for Gatwick especially early morning flights. Rooms and beds were comfortable and despite being under the flight path you couldn’t hear the planes. Sat on the lounge for a bit before bed which was comfortable and had the option to sitting in the garden if we wanted. The lady on reception was incredibly friendly and helped us with all we needed (son was really hungry and no local shops around so let him to have a bowl of cereal in the evening). Didn’t get to try the breakfast as we had to leave really early. Will definitely stay here again everyone one we come to Gatwick

Perfect location for the airport as it’s super close to both terminals. Pricing for what you get is also pretty good value for money. The standards of the rooms aren’t great, hence the rating, and the bathrooms need a proper clean so that you can’t smell what’s happened before… That being said, for £50 a night, it’s not going to be the ritz!

The room absolutely stinks of damp, the bed is so cold it feels wet when you lay down. The fan in the bathroom made a screeching whistle. Spiders and cobwebs everywhere. The place is very dated and doesn’t have a clean feel to it. However the lady on reception was so kind and gave us a room downstairs when requested after we arrived and the sheets on the bed look well presented. EDIT a week later: the hotel have read this review and have sent a message to booking.com to say I have damaged the property and would like a £500, I called the hotel and the rude member of staff said I was disgusting and speaking to me in a rude manner for the way i left the room because I was wearing fake tan which transferred onto the sheets, which is washable. Absolutely avoid this place it’s dirty and the staff are just plain awful, the place needs shutting down.
