Avoid at All Costs – Misleading, Unhygienic, and Poorly Managed First of all, travellers should be aware that this is not a single hotel. They operate under multiple names to bury negative reviews. I booked what was advertised as Serenity Suites, but when filling out the government form, I was forced to choose Hotel Tropicana—a huge red flag and a clear sign of a scam. Communication with the staff is appalling. They have at least four different phone numbers, none of which were answered. Upon arrival, the hotel had a terrible smell that lingered throughout the building. The bathroom was in a state of decay. Everything was rusty due to extreme humidity, the shower was filthy and covered in layers of grime, the curtain was discontinued, and the water felt strange—after showering, I still didn’t feel clean. The kitchen was equally disgusting. The microwave was rusted, the control button was cracked and jammed every time I tried to use it. The bed had long hairs from previous guests, and the air conditioning was so weak it was barely functional. The window provided zero soundproofing from the incredibly loud restaurant in the same building, which blasted karaoke music every night. To top it all off, I saw at least 10 cockroaches during my stay. It was honestly one of the worst accommodations I've ever experienced.

I booked a stay at Tropicana Studios, Punta Cana, because of good review on Booking.com #Booking.com (my reservation# 4516986212 for a short weekend getaway in January through Booking.com. Upon arrival, we quickly realized that the location was not accurate. Our Uber driver couldn’t find the place and ended up dropping us off about two minutes away from the property. When we arrived at the reception, the girl told us that we hadn't booked with them and sent us to a different property next door. At the next property, the staff informed us that they couldn’t accommodate us there for the entire duration of our stay. We had to stay at a different property for the first night, then move again the following day. They told us we could check into our original room at 2 p.m., but we had to wait until 11 a.m. the next day to move. It took almost 2 hours for us to get our room that first night. They also asked for cash payment upfront, and breakfast, which was originally included in our booking, wasn’t provided. I felt completely let down by Booking.com, as they didn’t respond to my calls and claimed no responsibility, even though I contacted them on the second day of our stay. Tropicana Suites didn’t respond to their requests or calls either, and neither company took responsibility for us having to pay more out of pocket for accommodation and food, which really ruined our vacation. To make matters worse, the staff at Tropicana Suites called security on me, claiming that the reservation was not with them. I recorded a video of them locking the door, but Booking.com won’t let me submit the evidence, and they seem to not care. Now, I can't even leave a review on their platform because they canceled my reservation. Be very cautious when booking with them!

I have reservation in this hotel for 6 days in Suite deluxe room.This hotel change my reservation and they give me another room they sad it's same. Later I figure out that my room belong to different hotel.and I don't get suite deluxe room like I book.the staff don't explain anything. They bin not nice . I do my reservation on booking.com. For another room they took same money like for suite. But without breakfast , even if in my reservation I must to recieve it during my stay. For all 6 days never clean my room. I must ask extra by myself about toilet paper and they don't speak English they just go away. Not even try to understand or help me. It was small garden near room but they collect a garbage . So the smell was not nice too. In the room everything is not like on foto when I booked. Dirty walls and they full of dead flyers. It's disgusting. The water was smell in shower sometimes like from sewerage. They don't have their own beach and pool was also dirty ,so you cannot swimming there. To the beach you walk like 5 min but you need to pay for chair and ambrela It's not best to stay there.
