Great hotel located next to (and connected to) Mall del Sol. Rooms are spacious and clean and have excellent WiFi connections. Staff are friendly and helpful. Has a good buffet breakfast that is included in some room rates. Also has shuttle service to the airport (pre-arranged)
What should I say, I just love staying at Wyndham hotels (Canada, Singapore, Australia, and now in Guayaquil, Ecuador) and find them pretty convenient. This was my another great Wyndham at the airport, and I would definitely book it again. Good value for money and a decent 4-star hotel with great service, friendly staff, clean, compfy and spacious facilities, and a great minibar with affordable, decent priced soft drinks, juices, and snacks. The hotel is connected to the shopping mall and makes it convenient when you arrive late and want to catch some dinner in the food court of the mall. But you can also order food from your room because they also have a restaurant.
As my small group reached the arrivals area of the terminal at GYE Airport there was a driver waiting for us with our names on a placard. The driver loaded our taxi and were brought to the hotel in about ten minutes. The General Manager, Mr. Hugo Barreto, greeted us at check-in. Our luggage was brought to our respective rooms and at breakfast we were told that the General Manager had arranged for our breakfasts to be included in the price of our rooms as a courtesy. Then after we had settled in, the Director of Sales, Mr. Byron, gave us a full tour of the facility and answered all our questions. When I returned to my room, Ms Ariana Lucas, the Quality Manager, had left me a tray of macaroons and brownies, with a bottle of cold sparkling water. There are two levels of rooms: standard and business class. The difference is not in size but amenities available such as a snack and refreshments table in the common area of the floor. The bridge connecting the hotel to the Mall del Sol gave us a huge number of options for dining and shopping. We will definitely return during future business trips to and through Guayaquil. The hotel has excellent security, has been completely remodeled within the past few years, and we were treated very well by all the staff. Most highly recommended for the seasoned traveler whether for business or pleasure. Special thanks to Hugo, Byron, and Ariana, you are master hoteliers and the quality shows.
