TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Basın Ekspres

I recently ( March, 2025 ) had the pleasure of staying at TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Basin Ekspres – The Employes: Fatih Demir, Dogan Ozen, Fatih Calak, Sinan Aksu, Volkan Ozcan, Ekrem Ince and Nobetci Mudur, all are incredibly professional, friendly and the kindest people!!! Thank you EACH and everyone of YOU and I must say, the experience was truly exceptional thanks to the incredible staff. From the moment I arrived, every employee I encountered was kind, compassionate, and attentive beyond measure. Front Desk: The front desk team greeted me with warm smiles and made the check-in process seamless. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Housekeeping: The housekeeping staff maintained impeccable cleanliness throughout my stay. Their attention to detail was remarkable, and they were always courteous and respectful. Restaurant: The restaurant staff provided outstanding service, making each meal a delightful experience. They were attentive to dietary preferences and ensured that every guest felt valued and cared for. Concierge: The concierge team was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, offering excellent recommendations and assisting with reservations and transportation. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. Maintenance: The maintenance staff promptly addressed any issues with a friendly demeanor, ensuring that everything in the hotel functioned perfectly. Spa: The spa employees were professional and welcoming, creating a relaxing atmosphere that enhanced my overall experience. Every area of the hotel was staffed by individuals who genuinely cared about the guests and their well-being. Their kindness, compassion, and exceptional service made my stay unforgettable. I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. There were a couple of small issues during my stay, but when I raised them, Mr. KÖNEY and the team responded promptly and handled everything professionally. I really appreciated their quick action and care. Thanks to them, my overall experience was excellent.

I came off an international flight and our flight was canceled and Turkish airlines put us in this hotel. I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old. The kids did not get any sleep, and I have another 12 hour flight back home to the U.S. When I came to the check in counter the gentleman named Mehmet ( round face slight stubble beard) did not greet me in a nice way and his first words SIT DOWN I WILL CALL YOUR NAME when your room is ready to be called. I said ok. He gave me a room and when I went to the room I came back down and told him it has 2 single beds. We are 2 adults 2 kids we cannot fit on there. His first comment was put the 2 beds together I said I did and there is a slight gap I don’t want the kids to be stuck in the gap uncomfortably or fall. I said I would like a king size bedroom and another roll on bed for the baby. His first response was Bery very disrespectful he said You will be Ok if you don’t sleep with your wife for one day. It angered the he’ll out of me and I said where did you get your training my brother is in the hotel hospitality industry and he would never say such a thing. I told him you have 0 manners and are not helpful at all. You can be nicer and he replied I AM FINE. I DONT NEED TO NICE TO YOU. When I asked for the hotel managers name he said he is not here and would not give me a name or contact. After the back and forth yelling He said I will give u a king size bedroom but you need to get out of that room and sit in the lobby until the room is done. I told the kids are feeding and resting I will not bring them back down. Then he said I am sorry I can not help you. He then said I will give you another roll on bed in the same room and I said fine. I have stayed at many hotels in Turkey and the staff are Amazing Unfortunately Mehmet was Very rude. And the food was terrible a preset menu for airlines passengers with kofta kabobs that were cold. That’s not the end when I left in the morning I had to find my own Uber because the shuttle had 1 seat available for us and the kids and there was no where to sit. I understand we were a little getting to the shuttle but even if we had sets that means 3 other people would not have. The receptionist just said sorry get your own. Overall One of the worst hotel experiences with the staff just being so RUDE AND UNHELPFUL! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL EVEN IF THEY GIVE IT TO YOU FOR FREE!
