A great centre for a 4 day mini-break tour of the surrounding area. Pleasantly decorated hotel with warm feel and friendly staff (some English spoken). Half board with buffet dinner (generally soup starter, choice of 3 mains, single desert) was great value; breakfast had plenty of choice too. Spacious wellness area on top floor with balcony. Only reason for us not to re-visit is that there isn't much in Stadtoldendorf itself but hotel is well situated to easily reach Hamelin, Einbeck and Göttingen (Kassel worth pushing on to even at 90mins each way).
Very good breakfast, dinner and service. Highly recommended for hiking tours in the area!
To stay over the night OK, but nothing special. Beds old, but we slept well. Breakfast at home we have better. Ofcourse all was there for 4 star but at the absolutely minimum and minimum quality. Coffee was already on the table in the canister, which you know is not the best coffee. No signs at the buffet what is what. It makes it possible that cherry marmalade that appears to be strawberry or you have to taste at the buffet....It happened to me that I took meat balls that appeared to cold sour concervated ones. Price - quality OK.
