Our first time staying here, what a great experience! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the room was modern and clean, and the bar/lounge area downstairs was a perfect area to relax. Perfect central location to the city, everywhere we wanted to go was only a short walk away. Thanks Tryp team, you helped make my better half's birthday weekend away so memorable!
Pros; The room was lovely, everything was very clean and well presented. The room was on the small side, but fine for us and what we wanted. The staff were lovely and friendly, also advised between 7am-7pm there is free drinks and food available in the lobby, to guests. The location was perfect, very central to everything we wanted to see. No issues with outside/city noise. Motel was great value for the cost. Cons; They have a gym on the 5th floor of the building. We were in room 403, which is directly under the gym. The gym is open 24/7 for use. Around 1am someone kindly decided to go for a run on the treadmill, they were very heavy footed as well. Then they also seemed to have dropped the dumb bells or something, it was very loud. That is where sleeping for the night ended. Our daughter in a different room on the floor was woken by it, also spoke to a guest who was on the second floor who also had next to no sleep because of it all. I would suggest the gym only be open during certain hours as some guests are unable to use common sense and respect people are trying to sleep. Otherwise, apart from that, we would stay again.
Room is clean, pleasant and fit for purpose. Location is just by the fringe of CBD so it’s decent. However I deducted some points as I was driving and 1) there are no secured car parks from the hotel 2) while there are ample open public car park which is free from 8-6am, we encounter something odd which is while walking back from dinner we noticed a bunch of kids checking out every car on the row in front of the hotel. I immediately felt unsafe and drove the car to a secured parking space. As the area is closed to bars and clubs, you may need to heighten your senses if you are staying here
