Tsun Huang Hotel

Great hotel, good rates, good service. Nice spacious, clean rooms. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Delicious breakfast buffet. In a good location, nearby a bus stop.

We stayed at this hotel during the Moon Festival, and it was evident that they put a lot of effort into providing a great experience. They assisted guests in arranging taxis, and at the lobby entrance, they had a barbecue and drinks (complimentary for guests). The rooftop swimming pool is a fantastic addition, perfect for family travelers, and there's even a bar nearby to enjoy alcoholic beverages. The two areas I believe could be improved are the softness of the beds, which might be a matter of personal preference, and the soundproofing, as it's easy to hear noises from other guests in the hallway. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. While it may be a bit farther from the bustling areas of Chiayi City, I still highly recommend it.

Stayed here back in 2023, come across it again whilst booking my next stay and thought I'd warn any other travellers.. One morning my partner woke up coughing & choking on second hand smoke, she also has respiratory problems, the smoke came from the connecting room that shares the same ventilation system through the bathroom our mouths tasted like an ash tray and our holiday visiting family was put on a horrible note from that experience Additionally, when I informed the reception about this problem they responded with "so...?" Dismissing and under playing the situation At this point I was very angry & my partner upset with the hospitality and their dealing with the matter I requested to speak to the hotel manager as the reception staff were incompetent.. I had to wait over an hour, upon his arrival he was very apologetic I was able to cancel the bookings we had for the following nights and received a refund for those nights. I requested at the very least, a refund for the night we were breathing in toxic second hand smoke as the hospitality they provided was significantly below what anyone would expect ... unfortunately no refund was received for that night Horrible situation, worse handling of the problem & the breakfast provided was equally as depressing as that night, maybe they've improved their services but I'm certainly not staying here again & I'll make a note of recommending to any friends and family to stay clear of this hotel
